LRC65-02 launch and sea trials

2025, Hindeloopen (NL) — LRC65-02 launch and doing sea trials.

LRC65-02 Ocean Nest was launched in June. Ocean Nest sailed on her own keel from Hindeloopen to Harlingen for underwater treatment at Multiship Holland. She carried a light payload (400 liters of diesel and 2.5 tons of water).

Her captain reported that she was easy to handle by using the main diesel on the IJssel lake and tidal waters, and the two electric motors augmented with her bow and stern thrusters to negotiate the lock and docking. With her 30 kW electric propulsion, she easily achieved 5 knots on the canal passage.

Back in Hindeloopen, system testing and sea trials began preparing her for the owners who arrived shortly after.
